DRAKE PERSONNEL SELECTION PROCESS
A partnership:
Over the years it has been our policy to establish a one to one relationship between you, our client, and the consultant who is responsible for ensuring that your company recruitment needs are met, in a cost-effective manner.
Briefing:
An initial meeting will be held with you, to gain a full understanding of your organisation, the industry in which your company operates, an appreciation of where the vacant position fits in your organisation and the role it is to take in the short and longer term. Such meetings are vital to establish the working environment and atmosphere in which the new appointee will function, in addition to obtaining an appreciation of the values held by the new starters supervisor. These intangibles are vitally important in the promotion and development of the performance of the new appointee.
Confidentiality:
All information received is considered confidential and used only upon instruction to assist in the recruitment of staff for your company.
Database search:
We will automatically conduct a file search of our candidate database to ensure suitable candidates on our files are included for your consideration.
Advertising:
Any necessary advertising is undertaken at your cost. Should a display advertisement be required the advertisement is written by your consultant, discussed, and reviewed by you prior to placement. Display advertising will be invoiced to you at cost irrespective of whether or not a placement eventuates.
Interviewing:
All applicants are interviewed in depth to determine their needs, aspirations, strengths and weaknesses thereby enabling us to match the right person with the right job.
Reference checking:
On the basis that we have never been shown a bad written reference, reference checking to us means speaking directly with previous employers. This is an essential part of the screening process and enables the consultant to verify facts given by the candidate about prior work history, learning ability, work habits, attitudes, communication skills, and overall work performance.
Assessments:
Drake uses a full and comprehensive range of assessment technologies in order to determine the skills and attributes of candidates. These assessment technologies include cognitive testing - covering ability and occupational skills and behavioural profiling. This ensures cultural and environmental fit between applicant and job; and desktop applications testing - to measure proficiency in Microsoft and Mac applications. All technologies and assessments are highly validated and are selected by Drake due to their relevance to the workplace. The appropriate suite of assessments as applicable for each job role is identified, and can be administered to all applicants for that role.
Selection:
After thoroughly screening and appraising candidates, we contact you with a short-list of suitably qualified candidates who meet your hiring criteria. Interviews are arranged and your feedback gained. Interview rooms are available on request at our premises at no charge. We notify all candidates of the outcome of their interview.
Servicing:
Your consultant will monitor the new employee’s progress with you for the duration of the replacement cover, and, where necessary, be available to offer advice and assistance. Performance reviews can be carried out on request.
Conditions:
You may wish to defer your hiring decision. Any candidate presented to your company remains a Drake candidate for a period of 12 months from the initial date of introduction. If a candidate is employed directly or indirectly on a permanent or temporary basis within this time, the full fee will be applicable.
Service Fees:
For advertised or extensive database search assignments, if, after a shortlist of candidates is presented, the position is filled either internally or from another source, or cancelled, a service fee is applicable.
The interviewing and /or employment of any Drake candidate presented verbally or in writing are deemed to constitute full acceptance of our Terms of Business.
